In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life for patients of all ages. Duties Collaborate with licensed physical therapists to develop and execute individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and mobility activities to promote recovery. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Provide patient education on physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention, and home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transitions from inpatient or outpatient settings to home or other care facilities. Maintain accurate records of treatments administered, patient responses, and clinical observations in compliance with healthcare regulations. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all therapy sessions. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices. Proficiency in delivering various therapeutic techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapies. Experience working with diverse populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and patients in inpatient, outpatient, home health, or skilled nursing facility settings. Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans aligned with patient goals and clinical best practices. Excellent communication skills for educating patients and collaborating effectively with healthcare teams. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and documentation requirements for acute care environments. Prior clinic experience in orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics or similar specialties is highly desirable.
