Job Description
Position Overview The Physical Therapy Technician is an essential member of our clinical team, helping ensure smooth patient flow and a positive experience for every individual who walks through our doors. This role provides hands‑on support to licensed Physical Therapists, prepares treatment spaces, and assists with both clinical and administrative tasks in a dynamic outpatient environment. Primary Responsibilities Support Physical Therapists by assisting with therapeutic exercises and patient care activities Set up, sanitize, and organize treatment rooms and equipment throughout the day Coach patients through prescribed exercises while ensuring safety and proper technique Provide mobility assistance, including walking support, transfers, and positioning Apply basic modalities such as heat or cold packs under therapist direction Maintain overall clinic cleanliness, including laundry, equipment upkeep, and supply restocking Observe patient performance and promptly communicate concerns to the supervising therapist Assist with front office operations, including check‑in, scheduling, scanning, and insurance‑related tasks Follow all HIPAA, safety, and clinic protocols to ensure a secure and compliant environment Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication skills and a patient‑centered mindset Ability to stay organized and multitask in a busy clinical setting Basic computer proficiency and comfort with administrative tasks Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare, fitness, or rehabilitation settings CPR certification Interest in pursuing physical therapy or a related healthcare career Physical Demands Standing and moving for extended periods Ability to lift, assist, and support patients safely Frequent bending, reaching, and physical activity throughout the shift
