This energetic role combines patient-centered care with administrative excellence, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors. You'll be the friendly face greeting patients, managing appointments, and supporting clinical staff with essential tasks. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help foster a positive environment where patients feel cared for and valued. Duties Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in and out using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments to optimize clinic flow Collect patient information, including medical history, vital signs, and insurance details Assist with patient intake processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate Support clinical staff with basic procedures such as taking vital signs and recording patient data Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and manage phone calls professionally Handle administrative tasks like ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), appointment reminders, and billing support Support clinic operations by managing patient flow during outpatient visits and assisting with documentation of medical encounters Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support principles Experience working in hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions Excellent patient service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Ability to take vital signs accurately and assist with intake procedures Understanding of ICD coding, medication administration protocols, and hospital experience including Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is a plus Knowledge of X-ray procedures, emergency medicine protocols, inpatient care, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room) experience or geriatrics is advantageous Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment within medical-surgical or internal medicine settings Join us to be part of a compassionate team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care while supporting the operational success of our clinic.
