Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper usage and maintenance. Document clinical assessments, treatment interventions, patient responses, and progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following clinical documentation standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses—to coordinate comprehensive patient care strategies. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, answer questions, and promote adherence to care plans. Support discharge planning by providing relevant documentation and recommendations for ongoing therapy or home care needs. Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory requirements for medical documentation. Participate in ongoing training related to physiotherapy practices such as orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and inpatient care to enhance clinical skills. Experience Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state or regional licensing boards. Proven experience working in outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient hospital units, or home health settings. Hands-on experience with physical therapy treatment implementation across diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care cases. Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical terminology essential for accurate record-keeping. Skilled in the operation of medical equipment used during physical therapy sessions such as ultrasound devices or electrical stimulation units. Knowledge of physiotherapy techniques including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other modalities aimed at pain relief and mobility improvement. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver interaction and client engagement to foster trust and compliance.
