Job Description

Inpatient Rehab PTA Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy techniques and a genuine commitment to patient care. As a PTA, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist with patient rehabilitation, and support recovery across diverse clinical settings. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to patient needs. Implement therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises to promote mobility and pain relief. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate observations to supervising therapists. Support patients across various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and acute care units. Educate patients and their families on post-treatment exercises, discharge instructions, and injury prevention strategies. Maintain accurate medical terminology documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. Participate in discharge planning by assessing patient progress and coordinating care transitions effectively. Experience Prior experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health is highly desirable. A valid PTA license or certification is required.
