As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in our physical therapy department, working closely with our licensed physical therapists to design and implement individualized treatment plans for our patients. About the
Role:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at The Orchards at Wayne, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, from Rehabilitation to Long-Term Care.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Assisting licensed physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatments, and exercises Developing and implementing treatment plans under the guidance of physical therapists Providing patient education and training to promote independence and safe discharge Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities:
Assists with patient therapy sessions, including exercises, stretches, and other treatments Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients and staff Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress Assists with patient transfers, lifts, and moves, as needed Provides emotional support and encouragement to patients and families
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required Completion of a Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
