Job Description
Job Description STEP Therapies, Inc. is an independent rehabilitation practice that specializes in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis and neurological conditions. STEP is seeking a full-time physical therapy assistant, PTA. The perfect candidate is a quick learner, loves to multi-task and is friendly/caring and good with people. We currently have one full or part-time position in Little Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Directly assist patients with walking, balance and functional exercise
- Follow treatment plans and techniques as directed by PT
- Observe patients, record progress and report to supervising PT
- Document treatment notes, progress and participating in updating plans of care in a timely manner
- Set up, sanitize, and maintain therapy equipment
- Clerical duties as needed/able including answering phones, scheduling appointments, pulling daily charts and printing forms (this would be on weather days or slow days as needed)
Qualifications:
- Current PTA License in MN
- Strong people skills and customer service focus
- Ability to work well as a team member within a busy therapy setting
- Dependable and flexible within weekday regular business hours
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills and good health
- High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum age 18
- Experience preferred but not required
