We are currently seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for an established outpatient clinic in Missouri. The clinic offers a collaborative team environment, strong clinical support, realistic productivity expectations, and welcomes new graduates. Position Overview The Physical Therapist Assistant works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative services that improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. The PTA plays an integral role in helping patients recover from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Key Responsibilities Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Provide therapeutic exercises, functional training, gait training, balance activities, and physical therapy modalities as directed. Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies. Assist with patient transfers, ambulation training, and functional mobility activities. Accurately document treatment sessions, patient progress, and clinical observations in the electronic medical record (EMR). Maintain compliance with clinic policies, Missouri licensure requirements, and professional practice standards. Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes. Requirements Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with an Associate Degree. Current Missouri Physical Therapist Assistant License issued by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date. Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Outpatient orthopedic or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
