Overview Join the team at Sims Physical Therapy & Balance Center as a Physical Therapist Assistant and make a lasting impact on the lives of our patients. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with our licensed physical therapists to provide individualized treatment plans that help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and achieve their rehabilitation goals. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional training to promote recovery and independence. Monitor patient progress, document treatment sessions accurately using electronic health records (EHR), and communicate updates to the healthcare team. Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, home exercises, and safety measures to ensure optimal outcomes. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote patient consultations and follow-up care when appropriate. Qualifications Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state or regional regulations. Experience working with culturally diverse communities, demonstrating sensitivity and adaptability in various cultural contexts. Knowledge of medical terminology Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) management and telehealth platforms for efficient documentation and remote care delivery. Strong client communication skills to build trust, motivate patients, and explain treatment plans clearly.
