Company Overview Clapp's Nursing Home offers comprehensive transitional rehabilitation specializing in short-term recovery after surgery or illness. Our dedicated multidisciplinary team provides personalized care in a high staff-to-patient ratio environment to support swift and effective recoveries. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy techniques and patient care, with experience in various clinical settings. As a PTA, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans, supporting patient recovery, and enhancing overall well-being through targeted therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to patient needs across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility settings. Administer therapeutic procedures including trigger point therapy and other manual techniques to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatment, and communicate observations to supervising therapists for ongoing plan adjustments. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transitions to home or other care environments through education and exercise instruction. Maintain accurate records of treatments provided, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and facility policies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care for patients with orthopedic, geriatric, pediatric, or post-surgical needs. Uphold safety standards and sanitation protocols within clinical environments while providing compassionate patient care. Experience Prior experience working as a PTA in inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices. Familiarity with physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and discharge planning processes. Experience supporting patients across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics within outpatient or acute care environments. Demonstrated ability to implement care plans effectively while maintaining a focus on patient safety and comfort. Pay:
$28.00 - $34.00 per hour
