Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance. Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Maintain detailed records of clinical assessments, treatment interventions, and discharge planning using electronic health records (EHR). Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain procedures, motivate participation, and address concerns with professionalism and empathy. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and related medical fields. Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation and medical documentation standards. Skilled in manual therapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities. Experience operating medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing settings. Familiarity with outpatient care processes, discharge planning procedures, and acute care environments. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care while adhering to clinical protocols.
