PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Physical Therapist Assistant to join our 'in-house' team. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in our skilled nursing facility. Your expertise will help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions. This positions offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the patients' recover journeys while expanding your professional skills in this setting.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assesses the needs of residents with physical therapy needs and matches their needs with services available. Meets with residents regularly according to treatment program schedule, evaluates, and maintains records of residents' progress under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills and licensure.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate residents' occupational therapy needs. Skill communicating verbally and in writing with residents, staff and family members under the supervision of the Physical Therapist so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.
