What You'll Do:
Assist physical therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures, including administering traction treatments to help relieve neck and back pain.
Instruct, motivate, and support patients in learning, improving, and safely performing functional activities throughout treatment.
Observe and monitor patients during treatment, evaluating responses, progress, attitudes, and behaviors, while documenting and maintaining accurate patient records.
Fit, adjust, and educate patients on the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices, including crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
Measure range of motion, body part length and girth, and vital signs to assess treatment effectiveness and support patient evaluations.
Collaborate with physical therapy staff and other healthcare team members to exchange information and help plan, modify, and coordinate treatment programs.
PTA Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited therapy program.
Minimum of 2 years of experience.
Current state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
