The purpose of this position is to treat and document care for residents with impaired ability to perform at an independent level due to disease process, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, participate in the interdisciplinary team meetings as required.
DUTIES:
Follow physicians' orders for resident care and follow directions of the Physical Therapist Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of function possible within the confines of his/her physical abilities Provide appropriate treatment, preventative measures and adaptive equipment to prevent decline in residents' functions Provide appropriate resident or caregiver education to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of function possible within the confines of his/her physical abilities Maintain timely and accurate resident reports as required by federal, state and local regulatory agencies and third-party payers Provide adaptive equipment and preventative measures to prevent decline in residents' functions Observe infection control procedures Be responsible for the safety of residents under his/her supervision Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers Follow all facility Residents' Rights policies Remain positive and caring and act in the best interests of our residents Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner Perform other related duties as directed by the supervisor
