Know Your Team:
Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital includes state-of-the-art rehabilitation services for patients recovering from healthcare conditions. It is the only rehabilitation hospital in the state accredited in six programs by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting in conducting medically prescribed therapy treatments to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. Provides non-clinical support services to the therapist including but not limited to maintaining patient treatment areas and basic clerical support. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. This position will support both the downtown and Rio Rancho clinics.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
HS Diploma or GED equivalent. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Graduate of a certified physical therapy technician program or comparable experience. One (1) year of experience in a hospital, rehabilitation, or outpatient setting as a therapy technician.
