Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university Experience working with individuals with DD population New York State Licensure as a

Implement treatment plans designed by a licensed Physical Therapist Assist patients with therapeutic exercises (strength, balance, mobility) Provide gait training and help with assistive devices (walkers, wheelchairs, orthotics) Monitor and document patient progress, noting changes in mobility or function Modify activities as directed based on patient tolerance and response Act as a resource to participants and families in regard to clinical programs by encouraging their participation in the therapeutic process through shared decision making and training. Train agency personnel in therapeutic carry-over activities utilizing various MOVE equipment. Maintain adequate participant records. Prepare required reports within the appropriate time frame Participate in agency opportunities for professional growth.
Physical Demands:
A physical therapist assistant must have sufficient strength, balance and agility, to perform any necessary treatments, including lifting (we perform team lifts with two people or use the Hoyer/Invacare lift when needed). Interested candidates please submit your resume!
