Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver exceptional patient care. Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life through targeted therapy interventions. Duties Implement physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of licensed therapists, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and documentation standards Perform manual therapy techniques and other specialized interventions to alleviate pain and improve function Assist in conducting clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, including modalities used in orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and other specialties Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers regarding treatment procedures, progress updates, and discharge planning strategies Maintain meticulous medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies, including clinical assessment notes and therapy outcomes Qualifications Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state licensing boards Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques such as manual therapy and trigger point therapy Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical documentation practices Ability to operate medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) management systems and maintaining accurate medical documentation Prior exposure to acute care environments or outpatient clinics is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to develop effective care plans and discharge strategies Looking for PTA to work nights and weekends. Hours are flexible based on your schedule and can be discussed upon interview!
Pay:
$30.00 - $34.00 per hour
