We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house therapy team! The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a skilled nursing setting, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery. This role involves working closely with patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans and support patients in achieving their mobility and functional goals. New-Grad Friendly! Responsibilities Assist the Physical Therapist with patient evaluations and treatment planning. Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist. Provide therapeutic exercises, activities, and modalities to improve patients' mobility, strength, balance, and overall function. Monitor and document patients' progress, responses to treatment, and outcomes. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and self-management strategies. Assist patients with transfers, gait training, and functional activities as appropriate. Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team to support comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards. Follow established safety protocols and infection control procedures. Stay updated on best practices and advancements in physical therapy and rehabilitation. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Strong understanding of physical therapy principles, therapeutic exercises, and rehabilitation techniques. Experience in a skilled nursing setting is preferred but not required. Experience working with geriatric populations is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
