Physical Therapist (PT) or Assistant (PTA) - Part-Time Southwoods Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation - Boardman Ohio About the Role Southwoods Health is seeking a Part-Time Outpatient PT or PTA to join our Boardman team. PHYSICAL THERAPIST
(PT)
Summary:
Performs patient-centered evaluations and treatments that meet all professional and regulatory standards.
Essential Duties:
Evaluation:
Review physician referrals and medical records; perform comprehensive evaluations of strength, motor development, and functional capacity.
Plan of Care:
Develop and revise treatment plans to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
Collaboration:
Work with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to integrate therapy into the patient's total healthcare plan.
Supervision:
Oversee PTAs, students, and unlicensed personnel per state and federal requirements.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, timely patient records.
Education:
Guide patients on post-op recovery, physician protocols, and home exercise programs.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Current or pending Ohio State PT licensure. AHA BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire). Experience in an outpatient therapy setting preferred.
PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT
(PTA)
Summary:
Performs patient-centered treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist and according to the established plan of care.
Essential Duties:
Treatment:
Administer physical therapy treatments to restore function and relieve pain following the PT's established plan.
Communication:
Regularly confer with the supervising PT and care team regarding patient progress.
Documentation:
Complete clinical documentation accurately and within facility timeframes.
Education:
Instruct patients and families on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
Professionalism:
Maintain flexibility in scheduling and participate in facility training and in-services.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Active Ohio State PTA licensure. Current AHA BLS certification. Experience in an outpatient therapy setting preferred.
Schedule & Benefits Status:

Hours:
Daytime hours; no late nights, evenings, or weekends.
