Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) and play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. In this energetic role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver personalized rehabilitative care across various settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and acute care centers. Your expertise in physiotherapy techniques and patient care will be essential in supporting recovery journeys and ensuring optimal outcomes for diverse patient populations. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing customized care plans tailored to each patient's needs, including those in orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and sports medicine. Deliver hands-on therapies such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises to promote healing and mobility. Monitor patient progress regularly, document responses to treatment, and communicate updates effectively to the healthcare team. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques, home exercises, and discharge planning strategies to support ongoing recovery outside clinical settings. Support inpatient and outpatient care by preparing treatment areas, managing equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed during therapy sessions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans that address complex medical conditions involving physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and medical terminology. Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, progress notes, and session logs in compliance with healthcare regulations. Skills Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and manual therapy methods. Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and the principles of physiotherapy. Experience working with diverse populations across inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, home health services, outpatient clinics, or acute care environments. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and developing effective care plans for patients of all ages—including pediatrics and geriatrics. Ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members while demonstrating compassion and professionalism. Prior experience in orthopedics or outpatient therapy is highly desirable. Knowledge of specialized areas such as sports medicine or geriatrics enhances your ability to deliver targeted interventions. $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
