Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Chiropractic Assistant/Receptionist, where your energy and organization will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and seamless clinic operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine administrative expertise with clinical support, ensuring our patients receive top-quality service from the moment they walk through the door. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and updating records accurately Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorization and verification processes, and handle billing using medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) and medical billing procedures Maintain and organize patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards Manage front desk operations including multi-line phone systems, appointment confirmations, and patient inquiries with professional phone etiquette Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms, assisting with documentation review of care plans, and managing medical records efficiently Skills Proven experience in medical office administration with strong clerical skills including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and document management Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, Medicare procedures, and insurance verification processes Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities in bilingual settings preferred Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and scheduling purposes Ability to handle sensitive patient information securely in compliance with HIPAA standards Experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare or dental setting; clinic experience highly desirable Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join us to make a difference in patients' lives by providing compassionate support and administrative excellence. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
