Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. Your expertise will contribute to the rehabilitation and recovery of patients with diverse needs, including orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics. Duties Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments. Provide hands-on patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as trigger point therapy. Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with medical terminology standards. Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, home exercises, and discharge planning. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are established and followed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients during therapy sessions. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills related to physiotherapy practices. Skills Proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices. Experience in outpatient clinic setting. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and the ability to create effective care plans for diverse patient populations. Strong understanding of medical terminology as it pertains to physical therapy documentation and communication. Ability to work effectively with patients across different age groups including geriatrics and pediatrics. Experience with orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and a solid foundation in patient care principles. Excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients and collaborating with healthcare teams.
