The Therapy Manager will plan, administer, and direct operation of therapy programs such as physical, occupational, recreational, and speech therapies. Carries out leadership tasks for therapy department staff to ensure excellent care for all participants and departmental compliance according to policies and procedures.Duties/Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and coordinate patient evaluations and treatments. Evaluates/considers whole patient- incorporating data from the medical record and assessing the patient's functional status, physical disability, movement dysfunction and pain, community mobility, and rehabilitation potential. Correlate data from the evaluation to determine individualized plan of care, directed toward short- and long-term goals. Follow all established policies and procedures for documentation and form completion. Delegate patient treatment to support personnel according to their expertise/experience while maintaining the responsibility for the patient and treatment programs. Participate in patient treatment as necessary. Administer treatment requiring the advanced skills and knowledge of a specialist, focusing on posture, locomotion, strength, endurance, cardiopulmonary function, coordination, joint mobility, flexibility, pain, healing, and repair. Determine appropriateness of patient's response to treatment and consult with primary therapist concerning modifications in plan of care. Accountable for all operational and fiscal management of the department. Use supplies in a cost-efficient way. Is knowledgeable of all stats for visits and productivity in all departments supervised. Takes administrative call for PACE as a member of the Leadership Team. May be called upon during center hours to address patient needs. Responsible for ensuring all department employees are properly oriented and educated and that all departmental employees meet annual competencies and educational in-services. Reviews staff compliance with established policies. Ensures quality care and excellent communications with patients, guests, and staff. Ensures that the department is compliant with all state and federal regulations and reviews policies periodically and changes as needed. Maintain professional communication with contracted providers to ensure compliance and adequate care for the patients. Attend team and leadership meetings as required to ensure adequate communication to department and IDT as indicated. Any and all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:
Conduct annual and mid-year reviews with all department team members. Have counseling and performance conversations with department team members.Required Skills/Abilities:
