Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (someone who has graduated from an accredited PTA program) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care. Your primary focus will be on assisting patients in their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they achieve their therapeutic goals effectively and safely. Why McMinnville? The coast, the mountains, and the city are an hour or less away, and there is so much to explore in between. Duties Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients. Provide hands-on patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises and modalities. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols and home exercise programs. Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients leaving the facility. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with facility policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for geriatric and orthopedic patients. Skills Proficient in trigger point therapy techniques to alleviate muscle tension and pain. Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Experience working in clinical settings, including inpatient facilities and skilled nursing environments. Familiarity with discharge planning processes to facilitate effective patient transitions. Ability to provide compassionate care tailored to the needs of geriatric patients. Understanding of orthopedic conditions and appropriate treatment interventions. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
