POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for developing and administering occupational therapy treatment programs designed to improve function, reduce pain, prevent disabilities, and promote the overall health and well-being of our patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides physical therapy treatment according to an established treatment plan under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Provides effective communication with patients, family members, referring physicians, and the therapy treatment team. Maintains patient records confidentially in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Prepares and submits patient charges accurately to provide appropriate billing information to be reviewed and signed off by supervising therapist. Complies with Pennsylvania State Physical Therapy Act, codes, and regulations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Assistant license or license eligible. Outpatient experience preferred, not required. CPR certification is required.
