The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy assistance to the Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Promotes and maintains health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of the Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist. Contributes to the physical therapists effectiveness by identifying patient care issues. Administers treatment programs for patients. Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining updating, and studying therapy histories. Evaluates abnormal conditions by reviewing physical therapists interpretations of patient evaluations and test results. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records in a timely manner. Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities. Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, and promoting wellness and health maintenance. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Maintains production objectives by noting current treatment trends and monitoring actual physical therapy services rendered to production objectives. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading periodicals, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Enhances physical therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Consistently demonstrates internal and external quality customer service standards to all that request assistance, responding in a professional manner. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Passion for Women's Pelvic Health Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program PA Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Demonstrates excellent communication and teaching skills A self-starter who is motivated by serving others Experience treating clients of all ages High level or organization, both professionally and personally
COMPETENCIES
Willingness to work in collaboration with Attending Physicians Respect for each other Strong work ethic Competent in time management, problem solving, crisis intervention and multi-tasking
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office and hospital environment. When the primary supervising physician is unavailable, alternate supervision will be performed by a substitute supervising physician who will meet all requirements as outlined in the legal regulations. Immediate access via telecommunications is always available.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand: walk: use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, balance, stoop, and kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.
TRAVEL:
No travel required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program State license or certification Must pass a state-administered exam or the National Physical Therapy Exam administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy Experience with an EMR is a plus.
