Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Provides various treatment programs and procedures in collaboration with supervisor and other staff therapists.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Graduate of an accredited program for physical therapy assistants.
Experience:
Preference is given to applicants with a minimum of two years experience in the field or one year experience working in a physical therapy department of an acute care facility.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Demonstrates maturity to function independently, organize work and set priorities appropriately.
License/Certification/Registration:
Possess current PTA licensure to practice in Pennsylvania. Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives general supervision from the Manager of Rehabilitation Services. Daily supervision provided by a licensed Physical Therapist as mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
