Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans and assist patients in their recovery journey. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including pediatrics, home health, and inpatient facilities. Your expertise in physical therapy techniques and patient management will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Provide direct patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in compliance with clinic policies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Requirements Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physical therapy principles. Experience or interest in working with specific populations such as pediatrics or orthopedics is preferred. Familiarity with care plans and trigger point therapy techniques is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to work in various settings including clinics, home health environments, and inpatient facilities. A commitment to providing compassionate patient care and promoting positive outcomes.
