Responsibilities:

Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans for patients with various medical conditions Conduct evaluations, screenings, and assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans Perform a variety of therapeutic procedures, including exercises, stretches, and modalities, under the supervision of a physical therapist Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments, progress, and outcomes Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal care and outcomes

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program Minimum 1 year of experience in physical therapy or a related field (new graduates welcome to apply) Active certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of Rhode Island Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients of varying weights and sizes Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
