Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to help deliver essential physical therapy services in a vibrant educational setting. This position supports the needs of students across multiple schools, working closely with the district's Physical Therapist to ensure high-quality care and consistent support throughout the district. The role requires travel among school sites, offering a dynamic work environment and the chance to make a direct impact in students' educational and developmental journeys.
Key Qualifications:
Current Tennessee licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Experience in pediatrics or school-based therapy is a plus, but not required Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team Reliable transportation for regular travel between schools across the district
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Implement individualized treatment plans and therapy interventions to foster mobility and independence in students Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapeutic activities in line with district standards Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights as needed to support students' educational goals Foster collaboration with school staff, special education teams, and related service providers Travel regularly to support students at various school locations within the district This is a full-time contract position designed for a PTA who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the school setting.
