Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse settings. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist patients in their recovery journeys, and promote optimal mobility and function. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized care plans for patients across various settings such as inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and home health visits. Implement therapeutic interventions including trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and mobility exercises to promote healing and restore function. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatment, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist to ensure optimal care adjustments. Support discharge planning efforts by preparing patients for transition from hospital or facility to home or other care environments. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy exercises, injury prevention strategies, and post-treatment care routines. Maintain accurate records of treatments administered, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all therapy sessions to prevent injury and promote a positive healing environment. Qualifications Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy. Familiarity with care plans tailored for orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care populations. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support comprehensive patient care and discharge planning. Excellent communication skills to educate patients and coordinate with healthcare providers effectively. Prior experience with clinic-based therapies such as outpatient orthopedics or geriatrics is highly desirable.
