In this role, you will support licensed physical therapists in delivering comprehensive rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations across inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall quality of life through tailored physiotherapy interventions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients across various settings, including inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, and home health environments. Perform therapeutic procedures such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and other modalities aimed at pain relief and functional improvement. Monitor patient progress, document treatment responses accurately, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and discharge planning to promote continued recovery outside clinical settings. Support the management of care plans by assessing patient needs in areas such as orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Maintain detailed documentation of treatments administered, patient responses, and any modifications to therapy protocols. Ensure compliance with all safety standards, medical terminology protocols, and facility policies during patient interactions. Requirements Certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program. Proven experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy. Hands-on experience with trigger point therapy and other manual therapy techniques. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and care coordination for diverse patient populations. Knowledge of physiotherapy practices across specialties such as orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care. Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
