Job Description
Overview Progress Physical Therapy & Wellness is an outpatient clinic in Austin dedicated to providing individualized care for each patient. We are currently hiring a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who is committed to helping patients improve mobility, function, and overall well-being in a positive and supportive setting. Our clinic focuses on hands-on treatment, customized care plans, clear communication, and developing strong connections with patients. This position is well suited for a PTA who enjoys working closely with individuals and takes pride in delivering attentive, high-quality care. We welcome applications from new graduates and provide guidance and mentorship to support professional development and confidence in the role.
Health insurance Reimbursement provided for individually selected plans Responsibilities Work alongside the physical therapist to carry out customized care plans for patients with orthopedic, post-surgical, neurological, vestibular, balance, and mobility-related conditions, with the goal of improving strength, function, and overall movement Lead patients through prescribed exercises and functional activities to support gains in mobility, coordination, and strength Support the delivery of hands-on treatment techniques under the direction of the physical therapist Adjust and advance exercise programs based on patient progress and tolerance Educate patients on their home exercise routines to promote continued improvement outside the clinic Track patient progress and regularly communicate updates with the supervising physical therapist Complete accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system Foster a welcoming, encouraging environment that supports patient participation and recovery Qualifications Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Texas Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Interest in exercise-based rehabilitation, movement-focused care, and hands-on treatment techniques Ability to effectively coach and support patients through exercise programs and functional activities Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering quality patient care Capable of working independently while maintaining close collaboration with the supervising physical therapist
