Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and play a vital role in restoring mobility and enhancing the quality of life for diverse patient populations. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement personalized care plans, assist with therapeutic interventions, and support patient independence in homes and day facilities across the Metroplex with Special Needs population . Your expertise will help patients regain independence and achieve their health goals through compassionate, skilled care. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities to promote healing and function. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate observations to the supervising therapist. Support patients in performing prescribed activities safely during outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, home health visits, and acute care settings. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques, discharge planning, and injury prevention strategies. Maintain accurate records of treatments provided, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and smooth transitions between care settings. Qualifications Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state or national regulations. Proven experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy. Familiarity with care plans for orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and patients requiring discharge planning or acute care services. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including pediatric to geriatric patients. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and adapt to various clinical settings. Prior experience with Home Health and Day facilities serving Special Needs children and adults cases is highly desirable. Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills make a tangible difference! $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
