Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Physical Therapy Technician to assist in providing excellent patient care in a rehabilitation setting. The ideal candidate will work closely with physical therapists to support patients in their treatment plans, ensure smooth clinic operations, and maintain a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist physical therapists during patient treatments and exercises. Set up and clean equipment used in therapy sessions. Prepare patients for therapy by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort. Maintain treatment areas by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness for patient use. Assist in patient mobility, positioning, and exercise routines as directed by the physical therapist. Transport patients to and from therapy areas as needed. Ensure adherence to safety and confidentiality guidelines (including HIPAA compliance). Perform other duties as assigned by the physical therapist or supervisor.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; some college education or certification in physical therapy or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in physical therapy, is an advantage. Basic understanding of medical terminology and physical therapy concepts. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and lifting, if necessary. Knowledge of patient care practices and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
