At Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, we are dedicated to providing high-quality physical therapy services in a supportive and dynamic environment. Our outpatient clinic specializes in personalized care for a diverse range of conditions and injuries. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Physical Therapist Aide/Tech to join our growing team and contribute to our mission of improving our patients' quality of life.
Position Overview:
As a Physical Therapist Aide/Tech, you will play a crucial role in supporting our physical therapists and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient care, preparing treatment areas, and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a passion for patient care and an eagerness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists with patient exercises and treatments under their supervision. Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Set up and operate therapeutic equipment and modalities. Assist with patient intake, including recording vital signs and taking patient histories. Help patients with mobility and transferring as needed. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive and professional attitude with patients and staff. Ensure that all equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and stored. Help with cleaning clinic checklists and laundry.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in health sciences or related field is preferred, but not required. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of physical therapy procedures and modalities is beneficial. Must be able to lift, carry, and move patients or equipment as needed.
