1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a home health assignment requiring active NH & VT licensure and BLS certification. Details Home health setting providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist Day shift schedule over a 13-week assignment Provide treatment following plans of care established through initial and periodic evaluations by the supervising RPT Requirements Current active PTA license in New Hampshire and Vermont required if applicable Current BLS certification required Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant required Valid driver's license and agency-level auto insurance required Additional Information Treat patients using techniques such as exercise, massage, heat, water, light, and electrical modalities to relieve pain and restore function Direct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait and functional training, ADLs, transfers, and prosthetic training Utilize equipment such as ultraviolet and infrared lamps, low voltage generators, diathermy, and ultrasonic machines Observe and report patient reactions to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising RPT Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques and activities as appropriate Coordinate with the health agency for equipment needs available to patients Complete and submit accurate clinical notes and documentation in a timely manner per agency standards
