Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT). Work with residents to improve their mobility, strength, and physical function. Help residents recover from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses by providing physical therapy exercises and techniques. Support residents in improving their balance, coordination, and functional mobility to regain independence. Monitor and report progress to the supervising Physical Therapist and adjust treatment plans as needed. Educate residents and their families on mobility strategies, injury prevention, and rehabilitation exercises. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and speech therapists, to ensure holistic care. Participate in care planning meetings to discuss resident progress and adjust therapy goals. Maintain accurate records of treatments, progress, and documentation to meet healthcare regulations. Ensure residents receive therapy in a compassionate, safe, and supportive environment.
