A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Foundation Health Partners is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our highly experienced team at Porter Heart & Vascular Center, the only full-time cardiology clinic serving Interior Alaska and the Far North.

This position offers diverse opportunities involving clinic care and inpatient/ emergency department coverage on designated weeks. Compensation:
Starting at a base of $147,112, your compensation can be further adjusted based on experience . Additional opportunity to increase earnings through productivity . $40k sign-on bonus.
Schedule:
M-F outpatient clinic. 4 or 5 days a week. No call, no nights, no weekends. 7 weeks ATO, 2 weeks CME.
Patient Panel:
Outpatient setting offering patients short and long-term management of heart-related conditions.
Team:
Robust and collaborative cardiovascular team consisting of 3 interventional cardiologists, a vascular surgeon, and 3 other advanced practice providers. This position is well supported, both administratively and organizationally.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be approved to practice by the State Joint Board on the Regulation of Physician's Assistants. NCCPA certification required. Exhibits an exemplary professional demeanor and interpersonal relationship skills. Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications and database management. Must have sufficient experience, confidence, and judgment to function with little outside direction. Ability to maintain CME currency as required to maintain NCCPA certification. Requires personal DEA license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree preferred. Experience in clinical setting including supervision is preferred. ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and/or Neonatal Resuscitation certifications desirable.
