The hospital holds the highest possible three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) across multiple cardiac surgery categories. The provider will spend 90 percent of the time in the OR and 10 percent making rounds and seeing consults. Responsibilities First assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures Perform pre-operative evaluations and post-operative rounding Manage ICU and step-down patients in collaboration with surgeons Participate in call rotation (nights and weekends required) Coordinate care across multiple sites to ensure continuity and quality outcomes Team & Environment Collaborative team of 3 Cardiothoracic Surgeons Established group of 7-8 APPs (NPs and PAs) Strong surgical volumes with opportunity for professional growth and skill advancement
