ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the surgeon in surgery Perform patient progress notes, history and physical intake, triage, and consults. Issue and transcribe diagnostic orders and prescriptions. Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement treatment plans. Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions. Evaluate patient status during hospital rounds. Perform independent evaluations in emergency situations. Verify operating room equipment and materials are in a state of readiness. Participate in on-call schedule. Offer counseling and education to patients as needed. Performs clinical duties including, but not limited to, wound care, injections, draw labs, apply and remove dressings/bandages, casting, etc. Performs any additional work-related tasks as needed, including, but not limited to, taking nurse calls, escorting patients from the waiting area, scanning, importing disks, and room prep.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
