Job Description

Job Summary :
Responsible for assisting the Emergency Department Nurse Manager in the daily operations, clinical oversight, and management of the Emergency Department. Provides leadership and supervision of nursing staff while promoting safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. Assists with operational, personnel, quality improvement, and regulatory activities. Serves as the department leader in the absence of the Nurse Manager and collaborates with physicians, ancillary departments, EMS agencies, and administration to ensure quality patient outcomes consistent with the standards of a Level IV Trauma Center and all applicable Arkansas Department of Health regulations.
Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required three (4) years or more years Emergency Room Department experience. Current Arkansas RN license. Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification. PALS within six (6) months of hire. TNCC within one (1) year of hire. Certification for Emergency Nursing (CEN) preferred.
