A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with Dr. Jaffe and his staff to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and perform procedures. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations, utilizing your extensive physiology knowledge and clinical research experience. Assist in diagnosing illnesses and developing personalized treatment plans with Dr. Jaffe for addiction and/or pain management. Perform or assist in medical procedures including epidurals, branch blocks and radiofrequency ablations, to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Utilize EMR/EHR systems, Practice Fusion at this time, to work with your patient's charts seamlessly. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines—such as radiology, anesthesiology, orthopedics and orthopedic surgery —to coordinate care plans and improve accuracy. Support outpatient care by managing triage processes, discharge planning, and post-acute care strategies. Experience Prefer proficiency with EMR systems for medical records management. Familiarity with specialized fields such as anesthesiology (preferred, but new graduates accepted), orthopedics.. Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high standards of patient service and safety. Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding for procedures, and infection control practices ensures precise documentation and compliance preferred, but will help with teaching.
