A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Duties:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under the supervision of a physician
- Conduct physical examinations and review medical histories
- Diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures and treatment options
Skills:
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- MUST have Pediatric experience: Knowledge and experience in providing medical care for infants, children, and adolescents.
- Public health: Understanding of public health principles and ability to promote health education and disease prevention within the community.
Triage:
Skill in assessing the urgency of patient conditions and prioritizing care accordingly.- ICD-10: Familiarity with the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
Required:
- Current DEA number
- Current PA-C license Salary is negotiable based on experience.
Pay:
$65.00- $70.
