Job Description

An established gastroenterology practice in the Hanford, CA area is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team. The group is known for its commitment to providing exceptional patient care and fostering a supportive work environment for its providers. Prior experience in gastroenterology or primary care is preferred, but the group is also open to training a motivated local candidate.
Responsibilities:
Conduct patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physicians. Provide patient education regarding gastrointestinal conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Perform procedures within the scope of practice Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Adhere to established clinical protocols and practice guidelines to uphold quality standards of care. Participate in ongoing professional development activities and training programs as needed.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program. Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of California. Proficiency in performing outpatient procedures and clinical assessments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
