A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

- 2 years clinical experience, allergy & asthma experience preferred but not required. Practice utilizes EPIC electronic health records system Responsibilities include
- Provide comprehensive medical care for adults & children with allergies/asthma/immune disease with evaluation and treatment planning under the supervision of physicians. Conditions specific to allergy and immunology practice include, but are not limited, to allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, dermatitis, food allergy, drug allergy, stinging-insect allergy, and related allergic diseases.
- Supervise the administration of allergy immunotherapy and direct appropriate responses to shot reactions
- Order appropriate allergy and/or asthma testing including scratch testing, patch testing, spirometry, NIOX, food challenges, drug challenges, exercise challenges, methacholine challenges, and provide interpretation of test results.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocols on Epic.
Physician/practice support:
Rx refills, MyHealth portal messages, and phone calls.Direct patient care:
Annual monitoring of allergy & asthma patients, biologic medication management, immunotherapy patients, management of acute medical conditions, immunotherapy clinic supervision. Why practice with us?
