Job Description

Cottage Clinical Associates seeks an Advanced Practice Provider for the Cottage Cardiology Clinic Santa Ynez clinic to provide direct patient care to assigned patients within Cottage Medical Group (CMG). This role functions independently and in collaboration with the supervising clinic physician(s) and leadership in the delivery of patient care. Assesses, interprets, and integrates findings to determine appropriate diagnostic, educational and therapeutic management plans for patients.

Education:
Minimum:
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program, as defined by the California Physician Assistant Board. Master's degree or certificate from a specialized medical training program associated with a medical school that includes classroom students and clinical experience.
NURSE PRACTITIONER
Master of Nursing Degree. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing as defined in Section 1482, Nurse Practice Act, Business and Professional Code.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Minimum:
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
Valid California license as a Physician Assistant by the Physician Assistant Board; National certification granted after passing the PA National Certifying Exam administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants; Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license - DEA Schedule 2-5; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers.
NURSE PRACTITIONER
Current State of California Registered Nurse license. Current California Licensure and Certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the California State Board. Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Emergency Nurse Practitioner. California Furnishing License - Controlled Substances II Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license - DEA Schedule 2-5 American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers.
Technical Requirements:
Minimum:
Knowledge of the specific practice specialty. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of Epic. Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
Years of Related Work Experience:
Minimum:
Two (2) years of experience as a Physician Assistant OR a Nurse Practitioner or Two (2) years of experience specific to the practice specialty of the assigned clinic. •
Preferred:
Two (2) years of experience as a Physician Assistant OR a Nurse Practitioner in the area of the clinic specialty and in an outpatient setting.
