Job Description

University of Colorado Anschutz Department:
Surgery, Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Job Title:
Instructor - PA Position #: 00848388 - Requisition #:39962
Job Summary:
The candidate will be expected to provide independent clinical and cosmetic services for the plastic & reconstructive surgery team, including ED consults, OR first assist, post-operative visits, follow-up appointments, new patient exams, and cosmetic procedures (injections, laser treatments, etc.). The candidate will be in close collaboration with the surgeons, hospital and clinic staff. Eligibility for prescriptive authority is required. This position requires the ability to handle and lift patients and operate required equipment. The position may also require a stationary position or movement for extended periods as required during the provision of services. This position requires frequent communication and must be able to exchange accurate information. The NP/PA may also be exposed to communicable diseases and bodily fluids, and it is expected that the candidate will be appropriately knowledgeable regarding universal safety precautions This position will be required to work at multiple UCHealth locations and the
Anschutz Health and Wellness Center Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
PA Minimum Qualification:
  • Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant
  • Meets and maintains specific requirements of the Medical Review Board (Physician Assistant)
  • Ability to obtain prescriptive authority (DEA License)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Surgical first assist experience
  • Cosmetic procedure experience

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as
HIRING RANGE
$111,000 to $136,000 The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. The University of Colorado provides generous leave, health plans and retirement contributions that add to your bottom line.
