We are looking for someone who is willing to work shifts of 4 to 6 hours and work alongside another on-site provider. Most shifts will occur between the hours of 9am to 3pm. You will provide comprehensive urgent care services, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute illnesses and injuries. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality, efficient care to diverse patient populations, ensuring timely interventions and positive health outcomes while working with a positive team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine urgent medical needs. Manage acute pain, perform suturing, and administer injections following aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory results, imaging reports, and vital signs to inform clinical decisions. Prescribe medications within scope of practice, adhering to Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations and prescribing guidelines. Triage patients efficiently in an urgent care setting, prioritizing care based on severity and urgency of conditions. Participate in clinical research or clinical trials when applicable to enhance evidence-based practices. Provide patient education on health coaching, medication management, preventive care, and discharge planning. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security. Requirements Current certification as a Physician Assistant from an accredited program with valid state licensure. Experience in Family Medicine, Urgent Care, or Emergency medicine preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10), and medical records management. Ability to perform diagnostic test interpretation and manage complex cases involving infectious diseases or trauma cases. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on compassionate patient care and health coaching. Experience with hospital medicine or outpatient clinics is highly desirable; telehealth experience is a plus. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care. Pay:
