Job Description

Physician Assistant - Orthopedics (Shoulder & Elbow) Coastal Orthopedics | Full-Time | Florida Make an impact in orthopedic care-join a team that values your expertise. Coastal Orthopedics is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to support our Shoulder & Elbow specialty team . In this role, you'll work closely with physicians in both clinic and surgical settings, helping guide patients through their full care journey-from evaluation to recovery.
Responsibilities:
Perform patient evaluations, including histories and physical exams (new, established, pre-op, post-op) Order and interpret X-rays, labs, and diagnostic tests Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians Assist in surgery as First Assist, including wound closure and case preparation Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education Conduct inpatient rounds, consults, and discharges Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal guidelines Monitor post-op recovery, including wound care, DME, and PT coordination Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Participate in call rotation (1-2 weeks per month)
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Active Florida PA license (required) Minimum 1 year of Physician Assistant experience (orthopedics preferred) Experience in orthopedic, hospital, or outpatient settings preferred Current BLS/CPR certification
